So much to see by just walking around. Best way to see the city!! Still missing are snapshots of my 3 pairs of long boots, 1 pair of sandals, and 4 pairs of pumps :) Come to think of it, my shoes look boring.. There was a lot of walking in this huge campus ground but it was a lovely day to be out, a guided tour courtesy of my friend Mi Ji who teaches here. Despite being here for such a long time, I have never ever tried Beijing's traditional cuisine. From what I heard these particular cuisine doesn't sit very well with foreigners, not even if our ancestors are from the mainland. When Wang Ayi offered to bring me out to lunch, local style, I took up the challenge! Flavour-wise it is all good, nothing too weird I couldn't stomach but the presentation left a lot to be desired. But still, if and when I have visitors who wants to dine ala local, I'd definitely bring them here. It's quite mind boggling! Family trips are a norm for us and this year we went on a 'makan' trip up north! Some pics from my camera. |
